NPCs

NPCs or Non-Playable Characters are found in every part of the Zone and fill a variety of different roles including offering quests, selling or exchanging items, warehouseman, guides, security or simply offering dialog to the Player.

All NPCs are tied to a certain faction, meaning if you carry out a task for a scientist, you will increase your reputation among scientists by completing the quest. This is an important aspect of the game since a whole bunch of late-game quests will require faction reputation in order to complete them.

Here is a table of daily quests that can help you to actively influence your reputation towards your desires.
